Many people seek that ”toothpaste commercial smile ”. That is why more people each year are getting cosmetic dental procedures done. According to Market Watch, during the forecast period of 2021-2030, the cosmetic dentistry market is expected to develop at a compound annual growth rate of more than 5%. Cosmetic dental procedures can fix your teeth to be more attractive and improve the way you feel about yourself. However, these procedures are not for everyone. Below are a few things to consider before making the ultimate decision in regards to your smile:

Veneers

 Veneer

If you have ever wanted to fix the appearance of your teeth but don’t know exactly what procedure you need, veneers just might be it. The procedure is a permanent solution that shaves down the tooth, so it can’t be undone or removed if you decide you don’t like the results. However, veneers can be excellent for crooked, chipped, or worn-down teeth.

There are some cons associated with veneers. They are uncomfortable, and you may have to have multiple appointments. However, they are worth the hassle. The results can last a long time. While veneers will last a long time, they can be costly. The cost of a veneer procedure will depend on the number of teeth that need to be replaced. It is important to remember that veneers are not infallible, and you should be prepared for a bit of pain.

Invisalign

clear-aligner

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment consisting of clear, retainer-like aligners customized to correct your teeth’ problems. The doctor will first take x-rays and a 3D model of your teeth to determine how much shifting your teeth will need to do and how long the treatment will take.

Next, the lab will create customized aligners. You’ll be able to see how your teeth move during your treatment. Invisalign is not suitable for everyone. They don’t fix every type of dental problem, and they may not work well for you, too.

While it may be a hassle, Invisalign is often more discreet than traditional braces, and it’s easy to hide your treatment. Many adults have opted for this treatment over traditional braces because of the shorter time frame and lower risk factors.

The procedure doesn’t require a special diet or surgery, and you’ll be able to keep your teeth clean and fresh without any additional pain or discomfort.

Bondings

This simple procedure is an excellent way to repair minor imperfections in your teeth. It involves the application of durable materials to the tooth surface. The material is designed to match the color of your teeth and appear completely natural.

It is also an effective way to fix discolored and irregularly shaped teeth. The procedure can be used to lengthen and straighten teeth, close gaps in the smile, and even correct some minor discoloration issues. It is less expensive than other dental treatments.

As a bonus, bonding is typically completed in one visit. Before bonding, patients should have healthy gums and a strong foundation for the procedure. The procedure is not permanent. However, it will fade over time. It is also not recommended for people with sensitive teeth or if you have a high risk of developing gum disease or other problems with your teeth.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are an excellent solution for many people who have lost all or some teeth. However, not everyone is a candidate. The dental implant will fuse with the bone and function just like a natural tooth when placed into the jawbone. Dental implants are unlikely successful if you have extensive bone and gum tissue in your mouth.

The process can take six to nine months, although some patients can have their implant fitted on the same day. The entire procedure will last about two to three years in most cases. If you have a healthy gum line, you should have no problems achieving a complete and beautiful smile. A dental implant is a long-term solution to your missing teeth, so it’s essential to take care of it.

Conclusion

While it may seem daunting, the benefits of cosmetic dentistry are numerous. A healthy smile is one of the first things people notice when they walk into a room. It can also make you feel more confident and comfortable. According to the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, a beautiful smile can boost your confidence and self-esteem. If you’re considering undergoing cosmetic dentistry, you should consider what it can offer you. Just remember that it is never too late to get the smile you’ve always wanted.
