In the year 1975-1976, Delhi Sales Tax Laws were changing. The government introduced ST-1 forms. Delhi Dental Dealers were given an option about 15%-16% as Sales Tax or instead sell goods against ST-1 forms. Therefore, to counter this problem, Delhi Dental Dealers formed an association.

Business followed with not many problems faced one after the other. After 7-8 years, the Bombay Dental dealers Association was too formed. Meanwhile, a number of representations were sent to the Delhi Dental Dealers Association to the Local government to come with better sales tax schemes for deals. Soon the Sales Tax revised to 8%.

There were no activities in the Delhi Dental Association or by the Bombay Dental Dealer Associations but just normal social activities like making a list of holidays and small social gatherings.

Elections were held for the National level where Dr. J.L. Sethi was the Chairman. Mr. S.D Mathur as the Hon. Secretary while Mr. R.D. Mathur and other senior members helped in the process.

In January 1989, IDA organized an Expo in Pune. Members decided at this Venue to merge the Bombay Dental Traders Association with ADITI and made it a single national association.

During the elections held this IDA Conference, Mr. R.D. Mathur became the first president of ADITI National whereas, Mr. Viraf Doctor became the first National Secretary of ADITI.
